Anthony Ferroggiaro, MD, MHA, FACEP
Founder, Zhealus LLC
Anthony Ferroggiaro, MD, MHA, FACEP is an emergency physician, healthcare leader, author, and founder of Zhealus LLC, a patient-facing support technology company focused on understanding what happens to patients after treatment begins.
He brings 30 years of Emergency Medicine experience across community, rural, urban, and academic settings. More than half of his career has included leadership roles in clinical operations, quality improvement, patient flow, provider performance, practice accuracy, and emergency department management.
From 2014 to 2023, Dr. Ferroggiaro served in Oregon Health & Science University’s Department of Emergency Medicine, including roles as Vice Chair, Medical Director of the OHSU Adventist Emergency Department, System Director for Community Emergency Medicine, and Assistant Professor. He helped reorganize two Oregon emergency departments and supported community emergency medicine operations serving more than 150,000 patients annually.
He is the author of Assessment of Practice Performance in Emergency Medicine: A Physician’s Guide to Quality Improvement, published by McGraw Hill in 2015.
Zhealus grew from his belief that healthcare should not simply treat patients and move on. It asks a basic but under-measured question: after patients leave, are they getting better? Through brief post-visit check-ins and prioritized callback reporting, Zhealus helps care teams identify patients who may need follow-up while building recovery-pattern data to improve clinical insight over time.
